Our Story

An award-winning, enthusiastic communicator passionate about integrating social media strategy and storytelling, Abby Kittrell loves helping businesses connect with their customers through social media, creating conversations and building relationships.

This love story began when she was in college at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and was assigned to help local Blacksburg businesses with their social media and marketing. After graduation, she developed and implemented the social media strategy for Lilly Pulitzer Signature Stores in Hampton Roads, Virginia, which resulted in increased retail and online sales. After great success with Lilly Pulitzer, in September 2012, she went on to found her business, AA Communications. Over the past 10 years since, she has partnered with companies of all different sizes in a vast number of industries across the country. Abby loves how social media brings together a number of her passions - reading, writing, photography, working with people, and learning something new every day.

Abby is passionate about serving the community and continuing to grow as a communicator.

She currently serves as Awards Chair on the Executive Board of the Richmond Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and serves on the Young Professionals Committee of the Virginia Home for Boys & Girls. She has also served as a Social Media Mentor for NPO Launchpad, a Richmond-based nonprofit incubator, as well as the Marketing Chair on the Angels of Mercy Medical Clinic Executive Board and volunteered with Celebrate RVA!, spreading joy through birthday parties.
